KNOCKHILL - MRO ROUND 5.

30th - 31 July 2005.

Triple MMM Racing Absent.

Knockhill
MRO Round 5.

Team Triple MMM Racing were not able to attend the meeting at Knockhill due to Andy not being able to get the time needed off work. Living in Guernsey meant that he would have had to leave home on Wednesday morning to travel up to Scotland, and then after the meeting he would get home on Tuesday evening. It's a real shame, as we had already lost ground to the leading riders after Snetterton. We will be attending the remaining rounds of the MRO, and will have to see what we can do to catch up. Even if we get 3 pole positions and win all the remaining races it would be difficult to win the title, but even so, it is our goal to do so.

Conclusions.

After the results from Knockhill, we have now dropped to 7th in the championship, and are now 65 points behind the championship leader. The results from Knockhill were what we could have expected. The title is now looking unlikely, but still possible.

 CASTLE COMBE MEETING.

Since it had been two and a half month's since our last race, we decided we needed some track time before the next MRO at Cadwell Park, so we decided to enter a meeting at Castle Combe.

The weekend's weather was not great, but even so it gave us the chance to do some set up work on the new WP rear suspension unit. By the end of the weekend we had got the shock pretty much dialled in, the bike seemed to have lots more grip, though it is had to tell exactly how much better due to Castle Combe being so bumpy.

Andy got pole position for the 250 race, and also a race win from the weekend. So even though we were very disappointed to miss our championship race at Knockhill, the weekend was not a total waste. Bring on Cadwell, Team Triple MMM Racing are going on the assault!!!
