BRANDS HATCH INDY CIRCUIT - MRO ROUND 8.

14th - 16th Aug  2005.

Pembrey Injury rules Andy out of action.

Unfortunately after Andy's crash at Pembrey, his injuries have meant that Andy and Team Triple MMM Racing could not race at Brands Hatch. With some damage to Andy's spine, his doctor ruled Andy out of action.

To be honest, even if the doctor had given Andy the OK, he would have really struggled on the bike as he is still in a lot of pain. Riding at any pace would have been unbearable.

In the end, the team decided to go along and watch the race meeting.

The MRO 2005 GP250 Championship was finally won by Chris Bishop, so well done to him. Dan Tarratt finished 2nd, with Alex Kenchington in 3rd.

A notable performance was put in by Alex Kenchington. He had qualified well. His race 1 victory was stunning. Coming from 9th exiting the first corner, and gradually making his way through the field to take the win. The championship was looking very good for him.

Unfortunately, Alex got involved in somebody else's crash in race 2, so his chance for the championship was gone. But in his own words "That's Racing". I think my words would have been a bit stronger....
